I am shocked to see my last column was written in the last week of October 2016. A year of caregiving for a mother with dementia, followed by a major heath incident with a two year recovery has brought me here: to offer you my first analysis in what may be the most intense week of the landmark year of 2020.

OVERVIEW
This week will see a conjunction of six planets in practical, ambitious, managerial Capricorn, including an exact conjunction of Saturn and Pluto. Saturn rules defining structure, setting limitations, and evolutionary change. Saturn in your chart is the bones of the body of your life. Pluto is power: think the power of a tsunami that rises up and washes away everything in its path. Pluto influencing your personal chart can see what is no longer necessary in your life be taken away, ready or not. Combine these two energies and you can expect major change both personally and around the world. Questions of how we govern ourselves are on the table.
In the mix this week Mercury moves slowly from a conjunction Jupiter in (what else) Capricorn. This facilitates down to earth communication colored with a certain amount of expansiveness or even grandiosity. Opportunities do abound when ideas are shared. By Wednesday Mercury will conjunct the Sun. Things are moving fast, fast, fast. Ideas (not always well considered) are flying.
Consider the first half of this week to be a prelude. The real party starts during Friday's Full Moon eclipse in Cancer. The Capricorn Sun ruling practical ambition, and how we govern ourselves faces a powerful Cancer Moon, ruling home, family, tribe, tradition, and that which makes us feel most safe and secure. This is likely to be a spark for events unfolding over the next week, and echoing again from late August through mid November 2020. The archetypes unfolding are awash in yin/yang, patriarchy/matriarchy dynamics. This configuration then supercharges the Saturn/Pluto promise of laying down the law in a transformational manner.
(Uranus in Taurus Direct) And as if this all were not enough, a revolutionary energy that has been stalled since April 2019 is now awake and on the move. A generation of eco-warriors is being born. Original ideas for approaching and honoring nature in the mix. Our habits and values are being influenced by energy from the future.
(Neptune in Pisces) The urge for dissipation/self-delusion and it's mirror image urge for spiritual experience is both strong and can be easily accessed: you only have to ask. Portals to the other side (whatever you determine that to be) are wide open. Those who find it in themselves to be selfless and compassionate are most closely aligned with the flow.
(Venus in Aquarius and Mars in Sagittarius) This will give some encouragement and inspiration to both Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) sign natives. Love takes a cooler more friendship oriented approach at the same time as many will feel the urge to express strong opinions, expand your horizons and do things in a big way.

Aries
For many of you, this is a year of challenges that may be frustrating, as your natural tendency is to take charge will be limited and even thwarted in ways you may not see coming. Focus on what works. It's a good time to reach out to friends and spend more time with groups who share your interests. Physical activity will help you feel more satisfied and balanced. Gemini
There is a lot going on, and it's not just in your imagination. You are likely to be more attuned to the feelings of others, which can work in your favor. Look for ways to be a helpful friend, or at very least, a good listener. Encounters with others can spark a burst of inspiration that makes this an ideal time for any fresh start. This can be an especially satisfying week for the May born. People around you will be supportive and your creative energies are strong. Get out and do more things with people you like. Emotions can be running high midweek. Some of you will experience challenges or pushback in the form of strong opinions from partners or concerning legal matters.
